Updates

Salam.

I'm back, alhamdulillah finally fully recovered from the sickness. Feeling much better and healthy now, except for the nausea. Well, can't do much about that anyway.

Hubby still in USM penang, struggling with exams, labs and lectures. I hope he's doing ok. My cheeky Naufal on the other hand is now very2 manja with me. God knows how many times a day he kisses my cheek and hugging me like crazy. So it's kinda hard to send him to school every morning. First question in the morning is - Mommy, am I going to school today? If I answered "No" then he will be like the happiest kid in the world and said " yey, I'm very2 happy.. Yuhuuu" and I was like??

How I wish so hard that I can homeschool him. But I can't. Due to lots of commitment I can't afford to stay at home and let my husband work alone. I love to let him explore the nature, be wild and adventures, bringing him to the playground, island and beaches but can't do that so much now. I'm now very hygiene freak, coz his new school don't allow sick child going to school until FULLY recovered. OK, thats HARD. The weather now is extremely freaking hot, it's windy and with that, it is so easy for a kid to get any kind of virus or fever. I was lucky that when Naufal was so sick the other day my husband is around otherwise there goes my annual leave. Nowadays rotavirus and h1n1 are spreading again, hence I don't wanna take any risk. Pity him, kena stay at home je, the most pun play bicycle. Swimming is also no-no at the moment, better be safe than sorry later.

So, it does break my heart that he can't do a lot of things during school term. I know this wont happen if I'm able to homeschool him and be a full time housewife. That's why now I'm planning for holiday and getaways during school holidays. Time tu nak demam ke batuk ke layan je la. Alhamdulillah he's the type yg seldom get sick, the last time he got flu n fever I pun x igt it could be in October or September even though he was at nursery during that time. I'm so glad and happy with his nursery, it's the best in KK I can say compared to the other places that we went. At least it's clean, so susahlah budak nak dpt virus and they are also quite strict, kalau demam or selsema x boleh hantar. Alhamdulillah, although a bit expensive but worth it la..

Oklah, better get some sleep now. This boy needs my arm now.

Good night!

Xoxo.

Positive

Salam.

Happy new year bloggers!

Well, today is Naufal's 1st day of school. He was at first pretty excited, woke up early, had his cereal and then enter the school. The actual drama all started when he saw his friends were crying out loud like nobody's business and then only he started getting emosional. Oh, did I tell you that he is so manja with me, he sleeps on my arms every single night!

Anyway, we decided not to stay longer coz we knew it's gonna be harder for him so we left after an hour. It was heartbroken to see him giving me 'that face' so I was also in tears (pregnancy hormone ok! Hehe) When we picked him up, his teacher said he did cry and he also admitted that. He said 'Naufal cry so many times, Naufal said I want mommy and I want to go home'. Shame la you boy! Hehe

That's why I took leave today. I also had appointment with my gynae. I had ultrasound but couldn't see a fetus, only the sac (now I'm worry). Then he said maybe it's still to early and too deep so it's not clear. Or maybe he was saying this to make me feel good? I don't know. See the small hole? That's the sac. Today I'm exactly six weeks, alhamdulillah.

So Doc prescribed me with some medication which he said might help and this is the best we can do and try. I'll be having a detail blood test on Monday, coz I'm now in KL and will need to fast. I knew Doc will say no traveling and I told him that I'm going back to KL at 5.30pm today. Huhu. He'll also issue a letter for that (no traveling) so I was joking that maybe I need a rest or MC? hehe.

I know I shouldn't he traveling but I really néed to go home to sign stuff with the bank. It's the home loan for the house renovation in Seremban. Praying hard that Allah will protect both of us. After twice miscarriages, it's so hard to think positive. I never want it to happen again but it's always this little voice saying what if it happen again.. So I'm getting a bit of phobia of pregnancy.

Basically these are the multivitamins and medication that I consumed everyday. I'll make sure that I don't miss any of it. Doc wanted to prescribe vitamins but I said I still have mine. So he just gave the other 2 pills.

Vitamin E & Omega missed out from this pics. Just sempat grab this 3 (C, B complex & colic acid) je tadi when I was packing.

Progesterone is a hormon pill. So you see how much do I need to swallow everyday? It's like a dozen. But this progesterone is inserted via v*gin*. OK, quite a relief coz at least I don't have to telan. Haha. But it makes me dizzy laaa..

So oklah, good luck to me! I really hope i can dicipline myself to take all these pills..

Gotta need some rest here. Hope Allah will ease my journey and protect us from any harm.

Bye!

Mixed Update

Salam,

I miss blogging so much. I've been so busy lately and extremely tired almost everyday after coming back from work. Too many issues going on and a lot of things need to be completed before the year ends. In fact I am now going back and forth KK-Labuan to complete my project and its very tiring.

Anyways, glad that I'm now in Labuan, at least I can take a breath for a while. I did not spent most of the time at site, as there is nothing much to supervise, there's no place to sit either so I had to stand all day long. The site is located in a village, but very near to the bushes area and quite swampy. So, I only spent half day there and continue doing my job in the hotel. *shhh* dont tell my boss k. :p

My site area
Well, I had my birthday celebration last week, in the hotel in Labuan with Hubby & Naufal. I was upgraded to the Premier Suite room, hence, there is no better place other than the room itself to celebrate. Naufal was pretty excited when he saw daddy brought back a cake with the candles already lighted on, so he started singing Happy Birthday song to mommy. Hehe. TQ so much to my amazing superhubby, I love you everyday and twice on Sunday!!

Skema tul Hubby suh letak full name.. haha

Its always your birthday darling!
Apart from that, Naufal's violin class has been going on quite well, which I personally think that at the end of the day I will also be able to play violin! haha. Coz during the class Naufal was quite reluctant to learn from the teacher, so she taught me hoping that I will teach Naufal at home. So can you imagine how busy mommy is now?? At least 3x a week after work I will teach Naufal to play violin, the rythm and so on.

Practicing violin @ home

On top of that, the mengaji class also going on so well, alhamdulillah. Naufal now is quite comfortable and mesra with the Ustad already thus it makes it easier for Ustad to teach him alone, without having us around. So, to make sure he does not forget, everyday I will try to invite him to recite Iqra together, I didnt force him, he will come to me when he saw me tgh mengaji so he insisted me to teach him too. Alhamdulillah.

Naufal tgh mengaji while we were hiding behind the curtain.. hehe
On the other side, deep in my heart, I really missed getting pregnant. I can't deny this, especially when there's a lot of pregnant colleagues at work, with one of them having the same due date as mine as I mentioned in the previous post long ago. So, how could I not feel sad and heartbroken to see their happy faces (the pregnant glowing faces), but at the same time feeling happy for them and praying for their safe delivery.
Me, pregnant with Naufal 3 yrs back
I know, Allah is testing us now, but I'm trying my very best to be strong to go through this. People may say that I'm tough, but the fact is I'm not that tough anymore. *ok there goes my tears while writing this* Oklah, tabahlah wahai hati. What more can I say? My good friend posted this in fb and its very much related to me too.

"...dan boleh jadi kamu benci kepada sesuatu padahal ia baik bagi kamu, dan boleh jadi kamu suka kepada sesuatu padahal ia buruk bagi kamu. Dan (ingatlah), Allah jualah Yang mengetahui (semuanya itu), sedang kamu tidak mengetahuinya." Al-Baqara:216

Nuff said, its getting emotional. I better stop here. Seriously need a break or vacation to heal this. *always find reasons to go vacation laa kan.. hehe*

Happy faces when having them around..

Have a great day ahead people. Amin.

History

Salam.

Ok, this is not gonna be another post about how struggling I am to lost weight.

So this week is going to be history for us as Naufal started his 1st violin lesson yesterday and today, his 1st mengaji class! alhamdulillah, all went well, despite the hard times to make him concentrate. Well, 3 yrs old boy, what do you expect lah kan. Hehe

Violin lesson is a one to one session for half and hour. Hubby accompanied him yesterday so Naufal was a bit cheeky and playful. Hehe. He learned about parts of violin and how to handle it. He yet to have his own coz his size was out of stock and we have to wait until next week.

Apparently the girl at the shop said quite many children learned violin at his age so tu yg habis semua stock. Then only it came to my mind that we actually have to buy a new size everytime he grows up! Oh man!

Mengaji lesson was not too bad either, alhamdulillah. I was with him so dia ada serious sikit. Ustad tu pulak sgt baik, x marah pun. If dgn daddy main2 je. Haha. His daddy had to menyorok during the session. Actually we started introduced muqaddam to him since he was 2. But then it was quite difficult to teach your own child at this age coz dia byk main2. Lagi2 if daddy yg ajar. So we thought maybe he needs somebody else yg ajar.

Ok boy, mommy & daddy is so proud of you! InsyaAllah, you'll become one of the greatest musician and also al-hafiz.. Hehe.. Sounds too ambitious!

Bye!

Ramadhan & Pre-school Hunting

Salam Ramadhan Al Mubarak everyone!

Blogging has been very slow lately, there were many times that I started drafting a post but never got the chance to end it.

Anyway, Ramadhan, the month of blessing is finally here and alhamdulillah, Allah SWT has given us the chance to grab the blessing and seek for forgiveness for all the sins that we have done, insyaAllah. As for myself, sempat puasa for 6 days before I got my p3riod on Friday. *sigh*

Im also glad that hubby is around since 1st day of Ramadhan but he'll be going back to offshore this coming Tuesday (oh! how sad)! Naufal has been staying with his daddy since he was back home and didn't want to go to school. I think Naufal dah boring with his school now, coz skrang pun he's with the 4th years class since he was 2. Its kinda melompat kelas la kot, so no wonder lah now dia dah boring sgt doing the same2 thing again & again.

This 2 weeks yg dia stay with his daddy dia mainnnnnnnnnnn je & watch cartoon most of the time. I really couldn't recall whether it was me who started to make him addicted to TV and I don't think so. (x nak ngaku). Coz since he was small, I tried my very best not to switch to the cartoon channel as much as possible. So now he is happily at home, without having to learn, although playing is also part of learning kan. At the same time, I dont want to force him to learn but at least ada lah sikit2 kan, homeschooling ke apa. But I was extremely tired since few weeks back and I got stressed out at work - byk sgt report, keje, email, meetings. My new manager is very ambitious, he always came out with a new idea of doing things differently, which is kinda good but I just really cant cope with some of the thing that he wanted us to do. Anyway, a boss is always a boss so no argument. Period.

So yeah we have been talking about this (me+hubby) and we thought that maybe its big time for Naufal to move to a pre-school or kindergarten. Today we went for kindergarten hunting at four places:-

A. Private kindergarten - RM 1600 per term (4 months), got swimming class, art, music & etc but distance from home is 20mins approx. But when he is 5, the fee goes up to RM2K per month - definitely cannot afford lah kan..

B. Also a private kindergarten, but old building, 30mins from home. NO-NO.

C. A franchise's centre (well u can guess lah apa) but so small sgt with many kids, in fact smaller than Naufal's current school, I dont even feel like its a learning centre, not clean, yukss. Distance from home about 10mins. The way the teacher explain the modules pun not very convincing. Fee RM 1060/term/4months. The teacher pun got very long nail kt all her fingers, can u imagine this woman is teaching my kid?? Big No!

D. Smart kindergarten, phonics style learning, very clean, quite big area, very safe, ada playground, got small sink to wash hand everywhere around - mmg hygenic sgt. The principal explain the modules to us very well, siap tunjuk buku and proof that a 4 yrs kid can already make and write a sentence and looks very convincing, passionate in teaching not just nak amik duit je. But maybe no of student in a class tu mcm ramai about 20pax and during break time tu kena bawak bekal sendiri. Fee about RM260/month.

Looks like D option would be the best choice. But today we'll continue to search 1-2 more places before we decide the final one. Its not easy in KK to find a good place for kindergarten, as there isnt many choices available and you just have to live with it. Yes, there is an islamic school but no structured modules for the kids. The kid will have some difficulty to catch up once he entered primary school later coz org2 lain semua dah advance. Its not like those days during our time where we can enroll to tabika K3MAS coz now these kids are very advance & pandai2.

Naufal was pretty excited with the new place, especially when he saw a lot of activity books and also arts made by the kids. The principal said that maybe we should come again during class time so that we could see how the run the class. Oh, they also have sports day, outing or field trip and also year end concert.

Oh dear, my boy is growing up so fast! Sedihnyaaa but at the same time happy sgt to see when he moves one step forward.

Ok, I shall update again with the final choice! Bye!

Naufal's Art

Salam.

Woohuu, it's a holiday today in Sabah. But hubby's not around, went for a training in Miri. So it's a bit boring, however, my all time fav entertainer never fails to make mommy laugh.

Just wanna share Naufal's artwork at school. The teacher said he likes coloring very much. Oh, that's so obvious, habis sofa mummy kena tempias sikit2, especially when all the coloring books dah siap. So far wallpaper or wall blum lg..

Got star!

More stars!!

Mommy dah pening ambik gambar terbalik, sila abaikan.. Hehe

Ok, ni sure dah boring kot.. Hehe..

So ok lah kan.. Not bad. Then at home he's asking me to colour and write the numbers and he says 'Good mommy! Clever girl!' haha..

Finally, he's cheeky photo this morning, with his favourite jubah n 'janggut' - tali yg panjang kt depan jubah tu.. Adoi, every single night he wants to wear this. I have to make sure I wash this everyday.

Cheeky boy!

Books & Tax

Salam.

Oh, I'm so early today, coz need to send Hubby to airport and he's now leaving us for 2 weeks. So the struggling supermom routine is back to normal. I cannot imagine how it is gonna be when the new baby is born later. OK, lets not think about that yet.

Anyway, I recently went to Singapore for a FAT. But I went there alone, coz Hubby didn't want to come along and yes, we are still broke from the Korea trip. hehe. At the airport shopping before flying back to KK, I found that the books for pre-schoolers and toddlers are quite reasonable price. In KK, we only have Times bookshop, not so much option available but still, I'm a member too. I would love to have something similar like Kinokuniya, MPH or Borders in KK but unfortunately we dont. Really hope that in future they will consider to open a branch here.

So I bought many books for my cheeky boy and some are practise & writing book for letters (lowercase, coz he's quite confused with these), numbers & words. I was thinking that since that these are claimable during tax, so why not spend up to the max. RM 1000 is a lot, OK! I mean, just imagine if for 3 years you can open a small bookstore already. Hehe. Such a waste if we dont utilized this!

Naufal loves books. He always requested me to read to him and his favourite is 'Pinnochio', 'Nick & Sue', 'Itsy bitsy spider'. So now he knows "Pinnochio have a very long nose and the nose grew longer and longer and longer... "I noticed that he always wanted the same same book. Then I've read somewhere that it is common, coz toddler need some time to digest the information in the book.

Now he's improving in writing the alphabets. I think maybe he learned that at the nursery too. Mmg patut lah kot kan, we are paying RM 380 for his school. Then another RM100 every quarter for the sundries fee. So thats damn expensive for us, but alhamdulillah so far we are satisfied with the way they handle Naufal. Every 2 weeks we'll received something like Naufal's activities books and they will xplain how is he progressing. One of the remark was he couldnt understand Malay well. Haha.. so the teachers had to speak English with him. Another one is he's quite a singer and performer at school! He loves Barney so much and the muslim kids songs, before tidur teacher said tiba2 dgr org nyanyi Alif Ba Ta, Alif atas aa and many more. Now lately we heard him speaking Sabahan!

Here's a photo of him doing the alphabets. Mula2 mcm terkeluar sana sini, after a while OK pastu now every now and then nak tulis. He can read the letters in the books or signboard but yet to know how to combine those letters and become a word. Now I'm slowly teaching him the phonics style tp tau2 je lah, balik keje penat, so the only time was over the weekend. It really needs courage and determination yg tinggi.

Next year insyaAllah planning to send him to music school since he loves music so much. He's turning 3 this May, MasyaAllah, time does flies really fast!!

Ok, kena start keje, I have 14 items in my things to do list!! Bye!

A Truly Sabahan

My boy surprised me with his another milestone. This word popped out from his mouth when I tried to take his pillow.

Uh, he's grown up so fast!! Mommy cries now!

Picky Eater

Salam..

I'm traveling again to KL. For this month I think I've been traveling quite often, in fact almost every week! It's very tiring indeed, but it's a job requirement, can't do much about it. Since I can't go offshore, so I'm keeping myself busy with a lot of studies which requires me to travel for discussion in KL office.

Anyway, my boy has been losing weight lately. He's a picky eater, I mean a really hardcore ones! It doesn't worry us that much since his weight is still ok and above average for a 28 months toddler. However, for the past weeks he got fever, flu & a weird sound of cough. Maybe it's too much traveling for him and change of environment. The big problem now is he's not eating any proper meal at all. Before this he used to eat cereal + milk for bfast, cookies for snack in between bfast + lunch, bread / yogurt + fruit for lunch.. Or sometimes macaroni.. Then for dinner another bread with strawberry jam again. Yes, he does NOT eat rice!! Sedih! Or any other decent food like fish or chicken.

My boy 3 weeks ago

Now it's getting worse, he only eat cookies/ biscuits. So that makes his throat swelling and reddish. He also refuses milk lately. I've read and refer to many books n doctors already..'Ada yg suh paksa, Ada yg said let it change naturally, there's no point forcing your toddler to eat. I've tried the fun way, but still doesn't work. Kat nursery pun sama gak. Sometimes I have to threaten him tau.. Yesterday I made a Belgian waffle for him and he loved it! So new menu in the list tapi still don't solve the problem. We have all sorts of vitamins and supplement for him tapi he keep asking for milk n biscuit je.'*duhh*

So I give up. Anyone had experience with a picky eater toddler or can suggest a special paed or dietary specialist which we could refer to?

Taken in June 2011.. I want my chubby boy back!! Uwaaa
Bye for now.

At T W O

Salam.

At 2 years 2 months, Ilham's progressing quite well, except that the vocal that is still lacking. Pelat. Here's example of my conversation with him:-

Me: Mummy's going to work tomorrow, by airplane. U want to follow mummy?
Ilham: Fowwow (follow). Takuk (takut) airpene (airplane).

Me: u r going to school tomorrow, what are friends name n teacher's name?
Ilham: Adang (Adam), Mimi (Syahmi), Tenny (Fenny-teacher)

Me: Let's go, we are going out.
Ilham: We go, switch off tv (he will switch off the tv)

Me: where's ur daddy?
Ilham: york (work)

So the list goes on. 4 words is kinda hard for him to pronounce clearly. Example:-
Supermarket = a a a ket
Avocado = a a ca do

His teacher also advise us to have more conversation with Ilham n talk to him always. I think we did that, maybe it's not that enough. Yelah, when Hubby's not around, if I do the talking with him all the time, bila masa lah nak buat keje rumah, makan lagi, etc. Tu pun nasib baik dpt mkn. Huhu.

That's why I'm telling you, raising a child need both parents to br around. Unfortunately, that's not for my situation. But luckily alhamdulillah, Hubby will fully utilize his 2 weeks off days with our boy.

Now Hubby is thinking if working onshore, coz he don't wanna miss to see his child growing up! ;)
